Section Surveyor South Africa
Permanent senior level position in the Mining sector in Polokwane in South Africa (Limpopo). Benefits: medical aid,pension fund.
Our client in the mining sector requires an individual who will be responsible for data collection, analysis, interpretation and reporting into information for survey and valuation use.
Technical work responsibilities:
• Measure underground excavations
• Install lines and grades in development ends and stopes
• Survey boreholes
• Produce Survey layouts/instructions
• Produce holing instructions
• Survey surface infrastructure (roads, dumps, civils, etc.)
• Ad hoc survey requests
CORE WORK OUTPUTS
• Effective collection, analysis and reporting of survey data
• Underground excavation measurements
• Effective team working of the survey team
ROLE DECISIONS
• Scheduling of workload to known priorities
• Work priorities for multitask team data collection
• Allocation of resources
• Quality work performed
• Application of procedures
• Usage of systems
• Time duration for task completion
The suitable incumbent must be in possession of the following:
Grade 12 numeracy and Literacy
Advanced Mine Survey certificate & Advanced Mine valuation certificate or National Diploma in Survey
Passed Advanced Chamber of Mines Survey and Valuation Certificate
5 years survey experience
Additional BO specialist,MRM competence with microstation / Cadsmine skills experience
Computer Literacy
National Higher Diploma would be advantageous
Physical requirement:Certificate of fitness
