Our client is a leading provider of feasibility and front end engineering design work for the mining, energy, defence, transport and agricultural industries across Australia. They are seeking the services of motivated mechanical designer/drafters with experience in the materials handling, heavy industrial or structural arena. The company requires good knowledge of Pro/Engineer and Solid-Works systems in 2D & 3D modelling, but is willing to train the right person to their high standard.

Responsibilities:

Preparation of 3D modeling and details drawings

Preparation, design and detailed modeling of Materials handling equipment

Progress Reporting

Material take-Off and Preparation of Bills of Quantities

Site Inspections if and when required

Site Supervision and Commissioning Services

Preparation of Proposals and Estimates

Risk Assessment and HAZOP Reviews

Skills:

Fast design & drafting skills

3D experience

Extensive materials handling and heavy industry experience

Good computer literacy

Solids modeling experience

Trade/tools background
