As a partner with some of the largest Defence projects, we are seeking a Procurement Manager for a high profile industry leader in the Naval division.

Working with an employer of choice - the best and the largest high-end skills base in Australia, you will gain access to excellent learning and development in areas such as combat, communication, weapons, materials, logistics, software, acoustics, electronics and naval architecture.

This role will be based in Adelaide. No other role would offer you such exposure to all disciplines.

An excellent remuneration package will be offered to high calibre candidate with the potential of overseas travelling to liaise business with Europe and/or US.

Responsibilities include:
Lead and manage Procurement activities in order to ensure that Major subcontract systems and equipment, Commodity material, Indirect and Capital material and other goods and services meet cost, schedule, and quality requirements as specified.

Requirements:
1. Proven experience in procurement and contract management experience in shipbuilding, engineering, automotive, or construction based organization(s) at senior level
(minimum ten years)
2. Tertiary qualifications in business, procurement, or supply chain.
3. Excellent management, communication, liaison and negotiations skills.

Desirable:
1. Membership of, or eligibility for membership of, Chartered Institute of Purchasing and
Supply (CIPS) Australia
2. Defence contracting experience focusing on Naval
3. International procurement and contract management experience

Applicants must be eligible to hold an Australian Department of Defence security clearance and MUST be Australian citizens.
