Have you had enough of sitting on drilling rigs and would like the management position you deserve?

A respected exploration company with substantial financial backing seeks an Exploration Manager to open up rich new areas of geology for mining. The major role you will play is to plan and implement a two year program of exploration and with the backing of this great company it should be a pleasure to do so. You will lead the start up of this Greenfield site, working with some of the most exciting geology in the world.

In this position your duties will be largely Brisbane based and you will only go into the field when you believe it is necessary. No rosters, you are in control of your timetable!

In your capacity as Exploration Manager you will:

Create a two year plan for exploration
Manage geologists, contractors and consultants
Manage exploration programs and budgets
Produce exploration reports and disclosures
Evaluate new prospects and locations
Maintain a safe and effective work environment
Your degree in geology and wide experience in exploration will give you the tools to succeed in this role. Your previous success in mineral exploration will bring the respect necessary to drive the team forward towards its goals. Your organisation and communication skills will help you to bring cohesion to the operation.
