Team Manager - Tunnels

As the Team Manager, your main purpose will be to provide tunnel engineering design capability and leadership for the tunnel team in New Zealand.

The Role:

Winning, managing and delivering projects
Establishing and developing Client Relationships
Liaise closely with the Australian tunnel team to deliver integrated project solutions for tunnel clients.
Liaising with the other Capability Leaders (Water, Rail, Highway, and Power) in New Zealand to deliver integrated project solutions to clients.
Growing the tunnel team by recruitment and support and mentor emerging tunnel engineering professionals.
Monitoring the quality of the outputs of the NZ tunnel team
Assisting the National Services Executive with resource scheduling and planning for projects/proposals
The Person:

Appropriate qualification in structural, civil, mining or geotechnical engineering
Minimum of 15 years appropriate and relevant experience in the planning, design and construction of major projects
Competent communication and leadership skills
Preferably have national and international knowledge of tunnel design including soft ground, hard rock, cut-and-cover, roadheader and TBM construction
Working knowledge of the design and construct (D&C) and build, own, operate, transfer (BOOT) methods of project delivery
Demonstrable track record in Business Development of winning major tunnel project work, developing and maintaining client relationships
The main characteristics of successful leadership are aptitude, integrity, drive, experience, courage, self sufficiency and confidence.
