The Victor Mine of De Beers Canada offers an exciting and challenging opportunity for an individual to join its team as a Protective Services Official. This is a unique opportunity in the sense that it exposes the successful candidate to “high risk” security practice in a professional environment. Due to the specific character of a diamond company, the level of security is commensurate to the associated security risks.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Oversee the day-to-day activities of employees/ contractors on site to ensure the integrity, safety and security of those on site;
• Monitor and coordinate employees entering/ leaving security areas;
• Conduct security searches and investigations;
• Ensure safety and security of the mine and employees.
Requirements:
• Formal training in Security/ Policing/ Military or Corrections;
• Experience in MS Office Suite or similar application;
• Clear criminal record;
• Minimum three (3) years experience in security or police service;
• Minimum two (2) years experience in cross-cultural (aboriginal) work environment.
