Our client, a major natural resources company, is seeking a qualified Mining Engineer to manage the engineering mining engineering efforts at their industrial minerals mine in Northern Nevada.
Senior Mining
Engineer
This is an outstanding opportunity with a large and growing company with a mine with many decades of operating life. Our client is seeking a person that has excellent ability to perform mining engineering, mapping and planning in an outdoor environment for a small and friendly mine and operation, but for a large company.
Responsibilities:
Long and short-range mine planning
Surveying
AutoCAD/mapping and planning
Mine design
Supervision of mining operations (eventually full supervision in absence of mine supervisor)
Management of the mining and sample database
Supervise all drilling and sampling
Safety and safety management
Selection Criteria:
Bachelors' Degree in mining or geologic engineering required
At least 3-5 years of mine planning experience in an open-cut mine or quarry required
Understanding of a multiple-facet operation preferred (i.e. understanding of crushing, sampling, drilling, processing, etc)
MSHA certification highly desired
PC proficiency required, AutoCAD highly desired (AutoCAD or similar program required)
MUST be legal to work in the U.S.
The position offers a competitive compensation of $70K - $80K+ (doe) plus lucrative bonus opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.
