Our client, a rapidly growing, diversified base metals mining company with operations in Europe and projects in Africa and Russia, requires a Chief Geologist, whose role will be to effect a smooth transition from management of the Geoscience team during the feasibility study to management of activities during the construction and mining phase of the project.
The role will include overseeing the site exploration and resource definition programme and finding new projects that fit the needs of a rapidly developing mid–tier mining company. Responsibility for Russian State reporting, including the preparation of projects and permits in a timely manner.
Requirements: University degree in geology or geological engineering. Ability to sign off on Russian regulatory reporting. Prior experience at management level and/or project feasibility study development. Excellent Russian language skills. Competitive salary package.
