Details: Our client, an underground mining operation in Asia, has an immediate requirement for an experienced Group Geologist to head the team.
This position will be offered on a FIFO roster, however a residential option will be considered.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Ensure all activities are carried out in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
Manage all geological activities and underground mine development.
Develop a geological program to assess the nature of the ore bodies
Evaluate the economic merits of existing and new projects
Report as required on all activities associated with the role
Ensure staff are appropriately trained and developed.
To be considered for this role you should have;
BSc (Geology) with 10+ years experience in an underground production environment
Experience with gold mineralisation in a narrow vein environment is preferred
Ability and past experience in learning a local language would be advantageous.
Well organized with good people management skills.
Experience in dealing with the challenges of working in a foreign remote location.
