Our client, a Sydney-based Mining Company is producing and exploring its gold resources in China. Their flagship project is considered one of the largest gold mines in China with planned gold production of approximately 180,000 ounces per annum.
Determined to increase their gold production in China to optimal levels as quickly as possible, they are developing 2 cold climate Heap Leach projects, one located on the Russian border and the other in the Chinese province of Inner Mongolia, about 325 kilometres northeast of the capital city, Hohhot.
To make this all happen they now seek to employ a Senior Metallurgist to participate in the feasibility study and onwards to the construction and commissioning phases of the 2 Gold Heap Leach Operations.
This senior role requires a person with both outstanding technical skills and personal attributes including the following:
Recognised Tertiary qualifications in Mineral Processing Engineering.
A minimum of 10 years experience in the mineral processing industry.
Significant cold climate gold heap leach experience.
Previous experience in Southeast Asia or China (preferable).
On offer is an attractive expat remuneration package and an attractive FIFO roster providing travel to and from your home base, but also allows for exploration of this fascinating region. Alternatively this position offers the opportunity to be residential based.
