Our client is a leading provider of professional engineering EPCM services to the energy, resource and complex process industries, whose success has resulted from outstanding project delivery for customers around the world.
They seek to appoint an experienced Mining Engineer to manage the mining engineering function on various projects in Kazakhstan.
Key responsibilities of the position include:
Contract and manage resource, geotechnical, mining engineering and other related consultants to produce feasibility studies.
Interface with other project disciplines in the production of the pre-feas/feasibility studies.
Conceptualise, produce and trade off mining methods.
Manage the production of detailed mining layouts, mining infrastructure, resource/reserve statements; ore costing; detailed product flows; equipment/personnel forecasts.
Promote and maintain HSE standards and procedures.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
A degree in Mining Engineering, or related field, and substantial experience in mining.
Varied experience but predominantly in underground mining operations, preferably with exposure to a variety of commodities and mining methods.
Strong ability in production, mine design and planning.
Extensive experience in a mining project environment up to feasibility level.
Experience of a general mining package, preferably Datamine, and Whittle.
Experience in Kazakhstan and a working knowledge of Russian would be advantageous.
Offered on a 6/2 week commute roster, an excellent salary package will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
