Goonyella Riverside Mine is one of the largest open cut coal operations in the world. An Opportunity exists for a skilled and experienced Dragline Operator, who will form part of and contribute to a Dragline crew within the Mine Operations Department. An absolute commitment to working safely, complying with all site safety standards and ensuring a safe and environmentally healthy workplace is essential. It is imperative that you possess the ability and aptitude to maintain high standards of safety, equipment serviceability, housekeeping and compliance with mine working procedures.

Selection for this position is merit based and targeted selection will be used.

The successful candidates must have the following in order to be considered for these positions:

* An absolute commitment to work safely, comply with all site safety standards and insure a safe and environmentally healthy workplace;
* The ability and aptitude to maintain high standards of safety, serviceability, housekeeping and compliance with mine working procedures;
* Meaningful work experience in an open cut mine;
* A willingness to work rotating rosters;
* Ability to contribute and work positively in a team environment;
* Sound work history;
* Good or excellence attendance.

Current black coal competency and exceptional operating skills in the following:

* Draglines
* Dozers
* Graders

It would be viewed favourably if candidates possess one or more of the following, in addition to the above:

* Excavators
* Cable Reeler
* Cable Truck
* Scrapers
* Cable tractor

The successful applicant will be remunerated in accordance with the Goonyella Riverside Workplace Agreement.
