Blast Crew Member-Shot Firer

Presently we have two vacancies within our Drill and Blast section two team orientated and results focused people to join our blast crew. In this role you will report to our Blast Supervisor and will form part of our world class blast crew.

Pre-requisites for this position are;

* Excellent Safety Record(no breaches for the last 12 months)
* Good Attendance Record(1-2 days without certificate)
* Ability to obtain a ASIO/Police Clearance

The following skills will be viewed favourably;

* Queensland Assistant Shot Firer black coal competency MNC041A
* Medium Vehicle/Heavy Rigid competency
* Coal drill competency
* Shot Firer explosive awareness
* Trainer Assessor qualifications

All successful applicants must be willing to undergo Shot Firer training, obtain accredited Queensland Shot Firer’s license and hold a statutory position on site.

The successful applicants will be required to work the current roster 4 on 5 off roster/5 on 4 off roster within the Mine Operations Department and will be remunerated in accordance with the Goonyella Riverside Enterprise Agreement.
