BHP Billiton has a number of summer vacation positions available in Victoria and Western Australia for highly motivated, capable and enthusiastic tertiary students in the Accounting, Commerce and Finance disciplines. If you are looking to get a head start in your career, then participate in our Finance Vacation Student Program for 2008/09, which runs from December 2008 until February 2009.

If you are a talented self-starter who is excited by the challenge of working in an environment where you will get hands on experience and be expected to make things happen from day one, then BHP Billiton could be for you.

Am I eligible?

To gain the most benefit from your placement, you must thrive within a team environment and be able to apply your studies in a practical way so as to develop meaningful, productive solutions to real work assignments. Whilst learning new skills and gaining knowledge, you will be supported by managers and specialists from a range of areas.

This presents an excellent opportunity to gain essential industry experience and will help you decide whether the industry and BHP Billiton are right for you.

To be considered, you must have a genuine desire to work within the resources sector and be in the penultimate year of your tertiary studies in either Accounting, Commerce or Finance.

Please be aware that only people who are currently authorised to work in Australia will be considered for the available roles.
