Market Analyst - Carbon Steel Materials

The New Delhi office is seeking a Market Analyst to support our CSM marketing functions. The Analyst needs to be an enthusiastic self-starter interested in working in a fast paced environment. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, be a creative thinker and have the ability to work as part of a team.

Overview

The Analyst is accountable for providing the key expert market views on Indian steel and met coal market trends. The position is a recognised expert on matters pertaining to the CSM businesses in the key growing Indian market with strong links across wider CSM market analysis group.

Synopsis of Position

Key responsibilities are:

Develop and maintain industry models and forecasts, in conjunction with industry analysts and marketing management to support marketing and service activities.

Assist the development of business and strategic activities through the provision of detailed insightful market analysis.

Monitor customer and competitors market activities

Support CSM Delhi marketing functions

Maintain high degree of topical industry and market news and disseminate to key internal stakeholders

Assist with projects as required

Contribute to wider market understanding and synergy development across marketing units

Qualifications/Experience

Deep industry knowledge

Excellent analytical skills including spreadsheets and databases

Highly developed networking capabilities and ability to extend cross culturally relationships

High level thinking and planning skills

Universtity degree in business/technical and/or economics

3-5 years working experience in commodity, financial and/or banking industry and/or experience with industry analysis/consultants

Experience in the natural resources area is strongly preferred but not essential

Fluent English both verbal and written

This is a permanent full time role under local India terms and conditions.
