Our client is a leading Tier 1 Project Management and Construction company, using industry best practices when working with clients to create high quality, sustainable property assets.
They are currently delivering a range of major projects throughout Melbourne and as a result they are seeking Senior Services Project Engineers to join their Services Team.
As a Senior Project Engineer you will be responsible for managing and resolving the detail services design and providing technical input for design, installation and commissioning, procurement documentation, managing consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role can be summarized as follows; - Maintain relationships with key strategic suppliers and subcontractors. - Assist Services Managers with design management. - Investigate design alternatives and cost saving options and develop program schedules. - Co-ordinate the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers. - Assist Project Cost Planners to finalize competitive cost estimates and budgets. - Prepare project finalization plans with Senior Services Engineers and Managers.
Ideally candidates will have Tertiary qualifications within a Building Services discipline, preferably Mechanical or Electrical along with at least 5 years relevant construction experience as a Project Engineer or similar. A demonstrated track record in the following areas will also be beneficial for the role; - Solving 'on-site' design problems. - Execution of basic site based, cost, QA & EHS controls and associated inspections and reporting. - Procurement subcontracts and supply agreements. - Subcontract management and administration. - Coordinating detailed services design. - Cost estimates and forecasting for cost report trade packages. - Implementation of established basic planning controls.
