The purpose of this position is to provide a skilled service to the production department, maintain plant and equipment thereby ensuring maximum production and uptime.
You will be responsible for planned and unplanned maintenance and minimising overtime, breakdowns and call outs. Furthermore, you will ensure high availability levels of equipment and critical spares. You will comply with statutory and PPE requirements, partake in collective innovation as a team member and perform standby; attend to call outs and work overtime.
Applicants must have a Matric (Maths and Science) and a recognized Trade Certificate (Fitter) with 2-3 years’ post trade experience in a heavy industrial environment. Knowledge of general process plant maintenance repairs as well as a valid driver’s licence is a vital requirement. It is further important to be computer literate and to be bale to perform basic calculations.
