ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Operations Engineer is responsible for the leadership of the production engineering, reliability and support engineering functions and for driving operational reliability of GroundProbe's products.
The Senior Operations Engineer is responsible for and will perform trouble shooting to ensure customer satisfaction, resolving site specific and minor design issues. The Senior Operations Engineer will provide systems engineering support to production and international operations teams.
PERFORMANCE CRITERIA
Specific performance metrics include but not limited to:
*** Lead and manage the Production Engineer, Reliability Engineer and Support Technician ensuring preparation and monitoring of their individual Job Description and Action Plans to optimise the engineering operational support functions.
*** Support product and system improvements, including improved reliability, through the provision of engineering skills, methods and resources;
*** Drive reliability improvements through redesign of unreliable components and systems whilst assisting with alternate sourcing of components and assemblies and providing engineering expertise into analysis of faults;
*** Contribute to the design of a GenSet for the remote area power supply and other Product Development projects on behalf of the production function ensuring long term reliability of the system;
*** Implement safe work practices and perform regular audits to ensure that hazards are identified and eliminated and that safe working practices are being applied and ensure that safety is built into each process and design.
*** Develop innovative solutions to current GroundProbe engineering problems;

Understanding of the engineering design processing and methods of improving later work through system level design simplification and improvement; Advanced analytical and problem solving skills; Excellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to produce quality reports; Customer focussed with excellent interpersonal skills;
