Darlot Gold Mine is located approximately 650 km north-east of Perth, currently producing approximately 115,000 ounces each year from our underground operations. The processing plant features 3 stage crushing, primary and secondary grinding circuits, a single leach tank, CIP circuit, IPS elution circuit and paste fill
Darlot Gold Mine is seeking to employ a self motivated Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to provide supervision and leadership for the process maintenance team.
You will ensure all maintenance activities are coordinated with production priorities and completed according to plan. You will have supervisory experience in a similar role in fixed plant maintenance in a gold plant or process chemical plant.
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent your other accountabilities will include:
• Providing leadership for the process maintenance team and ensuring compliance with all HSEC requirements
• Ensuring the process plant maintenance activities are completed safely, according to the agreed procedures and with minimal impact on plant availability
• Providing supervision for the mechanical technicians and contractors implementing maintenance in the process plant
• Promoting a team culture where communication is open and all employees understand their roles and accountabilities
• Planning and executing plant shutdowns in conjunction with the maintenance planner
• Completing risk assessments for maintenance activities and supporting the development of safe work procedures
• Assisting in incident investigations
Skills and Experience
To be considered, you will possess a Mechanical Trade qualification in a Maintenance or Engineering field and adequate experience in maintaining an ore processing plant. In addition to this you will also have had exposure to SAG and ball mills, crushers, pumps and power generation equipment. You are proficient with computerised maintenance management systems, ideally Oracle, and will have a sound understanding of maintenance management principles.
Sound problem solving and analytical skills coupled with good planning and organisational skills are attributes which are essential for this role. The successful applicant will also possess an ability to work with others to achieve objectives within a dynamic maintenance environment. Good communication and computer skills are essential.

The operation is fly in/fly out from Perth on an 8 days on / 6 days off roster. Excellent on-site accommodation is provided. Recreational facilities include internet café, Foxtel, swimming pool, tennis and squash courts, gymnasium and sports oval.
