International Mining Company. Central QLD based. Technically competent - mine design/planning & strategies - Underground coal exp

* Residential based in Central QLD
* Technically competent in underground operations
* 5+ years Mining Experience

This International and well branded Mining organisation with many open cut and underground mines throughout QLD, NSW and overseas, has a vacancy in their technical services team for a senior mine planning engineer with underground mining experience, preferably in coal.

The organisation is one of the top most diversified Metals & Mining organisations in the world who continue to grow and create value over the long term, forming mutually beneficial partnerships with stakeholders.

Responsibility:

* Provide leadership to the mining & waste management teams and provide a clear strategic direction as required
* Establish scope of works for pre-feasibility/feasibility studies. Identifying, assessing and scoping mitigation studies for disciplined risks
* Develop mine plans, metallurgical & environmental studies to ensure a strategy is developed with the overall project strategy and costs
* Manage and mentor a small team of engineers

Requirements:

* Degree qualified in Mining
* Minimum 5 years experience within underground operations, coal experience is desirable
* Technically competent - Strong analytical skills and project experience
* Computer literate.
* Competent level of client service management, building relationships with existing and potential clients.
