Construction Manager

As a result of a major recent contract awards a major rail infrastructure contractor is looking to recruit a Construction Manager to working as the number two to the Alliance Manager for a major new project in the Sydney metro area. It is expected that once awarded the Construction Manager will then be responsible for operational delivery of the project, charged with overseeing all engineers and supervisory staff as well as liaising with and managing subcontractors.

The Construction Manager will be expected to have a strong background in managing large, high profile civil or rail projects and be able to work within an alliance culture.
The suitable candidate for this role should have the following personal attributes:

* Strong communication skills.

* Commercial awareness

* Proven contracting background on large civil infrastructure projects

* Understanding of engineering challenges on a multi-disciplinary engineering project.

* Strong planning ability and able to multi-task.
