Experienced project engineer to relocate an existing manufacturing plant and set it up in a new, improved location in the northern suburbs.

Based in the Northern suburbs, this expanding Australian-owned manufacturer has out-grown its current manufacturing plant and is moving to a new and nearby facility. To facilitate this move the services of a talented and experienced project engineer is required for the planning, relocation and lay-out of the new plant.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, your responsibility will be firstly to provide a feasibility plan then, upon its sign-off, to facilitate the plant relocation on time and to agreed budget. Your responsibilities will cover plant lay-out and design of the manufacturing facility for maximum efficiency as well as meeting all relevant Quality and Environmental and OHS standards.

To be considered for this role you will be tertiary qualified in Engineering or a related discipline and possess a thorough working knowledge and experience gained through a career in the manufacturing sector. Your experience should include credible plant relocation experience. You will have a Continuous Improvement philosophy and hopefully exposure to 5s/ Lean Manufacturing philosophies.
