Senior Engineering Manager

About the Job

Our client, Australia's foremost authority in design, manufacture and installation of pumping, storage and flow control systems, is looking for a full time permanent Senior Project Management Engineer, to join their team. This organisation is the premier developer and provider of world class products and services to the mining and, power generation and agricultural sector.

As an integral member of the senior management team, you will have a focus on leadership of a team of other, talented engineers and providing a best practice engineering and design office that will focus on research and development of new products as well as the streamlining and efficiencies of existing product lines.

Other functions of this role will include:

• enhancing/optimising of current pumping and storage equipment;

• providing mentoring and direction to a team of junior engineers and drafters;

• dealing with account managers, operations managers and workshop manager's to ensure flow of the manufacturing process; and

• implementing LEAN and Six Sigma practices within the business.

This role requires an analytical individual with Mechanical Engineering qualifications (RPEQ with certification ability) who can provide a "continual improvement" approach to engineering and manufacturing.
