Our client is an expanding London-based mining company focused on identifying, acquiring, developing and operating mineral resource projects worldwide. They are currently seeking the services of an experienced Electrical Supervisor - Projects for their gold mining operation in West Africa - this position will report to the Projects Superintendent.
Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Supervision of multinational project teams
* Accountability of the project budgets
* Development and improvement of the site electrical and instrumentation systems including generators, high voltage switchgear and protection, transformers, high voltage and low voltage power distribution systems, process plant and mine equipment
* Implementation of departmental Safety requirements
* Development and implementation of plant training systems; and
* Planning and organisation of projects and contract administration
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess the following:
* Electrical Engineering Degree or Electrical Trade Qualifications with mining, process plant, electrical, instrumentation and HV power generation and distribution experience
* Ten (10) years plus experience at Supervisor level in an electrical and instrumentation project/construction role (a must)
* Power generation, electrical/instrumentation and PLC experience (a must)
* Able to plan, supervise and control minor and major projects (a must)
* Focus on eliminating waste and improving reliability
* Previous expatriate supervisory experience (desired); and
* French language skills (desired)
