Team Leader - Maintenance Planning And Systems (Fixed Plant)

Our client is a major ore producer, exporting throughout Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. Located in Pacific Rim the mine is a significant contributor to the economy of its country. Our client has a requirement for a Team Leader – Maintenance Planning & Systems for their base metal operation.

Role Responsibilities:

* Responsible and accountable to lead and motivate a team of Planning, Scheduling and Systems professionals to ensure consistant planning and scheduling processes provide reliability and availability of the maintenance equipment including Pipelines, Thickening, Dewatering, Conveying and Ship-loading processes throughout their operations.
* Responsible to promote and uphold the company charter, to encourage the appropriate work attitudes and teamwork within the Planning Section Team and ensure that the goals and objectives of the company are understood and achieved.
* Responsible also to optimise and improve the planning function to minimise the impact on the maintenance teams, and to ensure the workplace health & safety of employees, Contractors and stakeholders.
* Responsible to achieve highest Health, Safety, Environment and Community standards and Zero Harm Practises.

Applicants should have:

* 10 years experience in a maintenance role in a large scale mineral processing plant including materials handling & tailings treatment plant
* A minimum of 5 years experience in a maintenance planning role
* Previous experience in supervising small teams
* Previous experience in the use of maintenance planning software. (MIMS Ellipse would be viewed favourably)
* Previous experience in a multi-cultural environment would be viewed favourably

This is a permanent position on Residential status or Fly in Fly out roster. An attractive salary will be negotiated.
