ExxonMobil has had a presence in Australia for over 110 years through its subsidiary companies Esso and Mobil.​ Esso's Long Island Point (LIP) facility, near Hastings, processes liquefied petroleum gas for shipment to customers, and stores crude oil for distribution to refineries via pipeline and ships.​

Operations Technicians

These roles will appeal to motivated individuals who are seeking challenges in a dynamic operating environment.​

In these key roles you will be responsible for general plant operations, fault reporting, surveillance and monitoring of production, and process control through state-of-the-art control systems.​ Your role will also include preparing equipment for maintenance and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety practices.​

These are 12 hour rotating shift work positions.​ Having prior experience in shift work would be advantageous.​

Instrumental /​ Electrical Technicians

These roles will appeal to motivated individuals with an extensive work history in maintenance, fault finding and repair to instruments, instrument systems, electric motors, control systems, lighting and power.​ To be considered for these roles, an unrestricted electrical license and certificate in instrumentation are required.​ Prior experience in the petroleum industry is advantageous, as is high voltage electrical experience.​

These roles operate on a 9 day fortnight, 35 hour week basis, and include requirements for overtime and plant call outs.​

Mechanical Fitters

These roles will appeal to motivated individuals with an extensive work history in maintenance.​ Prior experience in the petroleum industry and in maintaining and overhauling diesel engines, turbines, pumps and gearboxes is advantageous.​ Holding a dogging ticket is also desirable.​

This role operates on a 9 day fortnight, 35 hour week basis, and includes requirements for overtime and plant call outs.​

To be successful in each of these roles you will need to demonstrate total commitment to our company values including safety, quality, ethics and business controls.​ An open communicator, your ability to build sound working relationships will enable you to work effectively within a strong team based culture.​

Your analytical skills and ability to follow procedures and maintain processes will also ensure your success in these roles.​
