Project Leader / Design Manager

The Company:

Our client is expanding their business and urgently requires a project leader / design manager to work directly with the Senior Directors in the delivery of a large Hospital located in QLD.

Based in Brisbane your position will require you to travel, you will be expected to fly in and fly out for the management of the project.

The Role:

Positioned as Project Leader / Design Manager you will be responsible for the entire completion of the project, your general responsibilities will include:

* Produce and check architectural drawings & specifications
* Research & implementing regulations, building codes, Australian standards etc
* Conducting site condition research
* Attending site visitations, meetings and inspections, and reporting
* Conducting contract administration
* Chairing / attending meetings with clients, consultants and authorities
* Instructing and coordinating team members
* Lead project teams
* Processing and approving consultants claims
* Assist directors in the preparation of client / architect agreements
* Design review of all construction documentation and the delivery of works completed
* You must have advance construction knowledge and will have previous on site experience.

Essential Experience:

* Qualifications in Architecture
* You must have at least 7 years postgraduate experience and experience in project delivery.
* You must have advanced written and verbal communication
* Proven leadership experience is essential
* Previous health experience is necessary
* Solid construction knowledge
* Previous Healthcare / Hospital experience (Construction delivery)
* The ability to work on site and with consultants is a must.
