This established iron ore producer offers a stable yet dynamic environment that allows for rapid career progression. They have been a long-term member of the WA resource sector and plan to significantly increase production levels throughout 2010.
To meet these aggressive production schedules, a new position has been created to assist the existing geology team manage daily pit operations. An experienced mine geologist capable of managing all the daily grade-control and blending requirements is required to work within one of their large, surface mines. This role requires a Mine Geologist bringing a strong work-ethic and passion for geology who is capable of overseeing the supervision of pit technicians, prepare daily/weekly production reports, supervise in-pit drilling activities and assist with the generation of geological models. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will be used to interact with a diverse range of contacts across the geology, engineering, production and metallurgy teams. You will also bring relevant qualifications and previous open-pit production experience.
