Position Synopsis
We now seek a safety-conscious and experienced Shutdown Maintenance Planner to join our high performing Shutdown Planning Team. You will assume responsibility for developing shutdown plans and schedules. Achieving success will require you to indicate parts, labour, timing of tasks, and priorities, thereby ensuring Key Performance Indicators are achieved.
With an eye on continuous improvement, your efforts will work to ensure that your contribution optimises Fixed Plant availability, and significantly contributes to the successful application of our maintenance strategies.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
* Preparing detailed work plans that include personnel, plant, equipment and parts availability for the timely and successful execution of work orders;
* Ensuring that all Maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with all applicable standards and regulations;
* Ensuring an accurate maintenance history is compiled and that the maintenance backlog is updated and managed;
* Monitoring KPI’s, and assisting with budget and cost control processes;
* Identifying opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and cost effectiveness;
* Ensuring that the Work Management Process Flow is adhered to by all disciplines within the workgroup;
* Maintaining high levels of communication with team members and stakeholders; and
* Ensure shutdown jobs are fully planned and scheduled to meet the business outage plan.
Skills and Experience
To be considered, you must have a Trade Certificate in the maintenance field, and a sound knowledge of Maintenance Management principles. A good knowledge of computerised Maintenance planning systems and packages, such as SAP, is essential and preferably Microsoft Project skills. You must also have specific shutdown planning experience in a fixed plant environment.
Credible and committed, you display effective communications skills, crucial to motivating team members, and presenting plans and ideas in a clear and concise manner.
Location
This is a residential role based in Newman, a town of approximately eight thousand people. It has excellent sporting facilities that cater for a wide range of interests and age groups, a well-appointed shopping centre, and education services to senior level. Relocation to Newman is offered with this role.
