Situated near Muswellbrook in the picturesque Upper Hunter Valley, the Mt Arthur Coal mine is an open cut thermal coal operation that is currently expanding to produce 20 million tonnes annually.
We invite applications from suitably qualified tradespersons to focus their efforts and expertise on maintaining and servicing power distribution infrastructure, mobile plant and equipment including trucks, dozers and loaders, heavy field equipment including rope shovels, excavators and blast hole drills and fixed plant mining installations such as buildings, pumping stations and lighting plants.
You will have completed an electrical apprenticeship, gained an electrical trade certificate, or equivalent and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of AS3000-2000 Australian Wiring rules. An electrical supervisor’s ticket will be highly regarded.
You will have worked as an electrical tradesperson in the mining industry, or related service industries, and acquired experience with statically converted drive systems, as well as PLC control and industrial 3 phase AC systems.
You will be highly motivated and diligent, have a genuine commitment to safety and be able to work in an environmentally responsible manner. You must be prepared to work towards mutual goals to improve productivity and efficiency and be able to work safely and productively in a team environment.
Mt Arthur operates various rosters including 7 day roster, dayshift and afternoon shift.
