Mt Arthur Coal Expansion - Maintenance Supervisors

Situated near Muswellbrook in the picturesque Upper Hunter Valley, the Mt Arthur Coal mine is an open cut thermal coal operation that is currently expanding to produce 20 million tonnes annually.

We are looking for qualified tradespeople with strong leadership skills, who are self motivated and enjoy actively contributing to the achievement of the maintenance team’s business goals. You will coach and develop employees, maintain maintenance standards in all areas and identify/implement improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of hazard analysis and risk management systems and be able to demonstrate hands on application of these systems in the workplace

Your main responsibilities will include:

* Ensuring that employees, contractors and others work safely and create zero harm to the environment.
* Resourcing and supervising appropriate personnel to carry out all field maintenance inspections and repairs in a safe and efficient manner.
* Attending to all breakdown maintenance requirements and ensuring equipment is repaired safely with minimum loss of production.
* Development of the long and medium term maintenance plans, budgets and forecasts, and contribute to cost control activities.
* Ensuring that appropriate equipment maintenance plans are in place and continually improved.
* Liaison with planning and operations to review and prioritise work load and set weekly work schedules.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Qualified tradesperson in the Electrical or Mechanical engineering field and/or engineering qualifications.
* Experience in heavy mining is desirable.
* Good communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
* Computer literacy.
* Preventive and predictive maintenance skills.
* Resource planning skills.

Positions are available on both 5 day and 7 day roster arrangements
