Senior Electrical Engineer to lead a team of Engineers in the engineering delivery of projects to time, cost and quality or in the management of small projects.
Our client is a leading global provider of engineering and construction services, technology products and integrated solutions covering a number of industries, including refining & chemicals, mining & metals, oil & gas production and power generation.
The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead functional input to own projects, including where relevant, leading the input of other engineers, to ensure engineering delivery meets scope, time, cost and quality; Carry out engineering calculations and check the work of more junior staff to deliver a quality functional input to projects; Provide functional support and guidance to more junior staff to develop both them as individuals and the capability of the team as a whole; Carry out commissioning activities at client site as required, to ensure successful engineering handover.
Requirements for this role are: Electrical Engineering Degree; Substantial relevant experience in project design work; Team leadership capability; Basic project management skills; Commercial awareness. Ideally, candidates will be Chartered status and have experience in a contracting environment.
The position is based in the north of England.
