We are currently working on two of the most innovative and advanced Naval Defence contracts in Australia– the Collins Class Submarine Through-Life Support Project and the Air Warfare Destroyer Program. We are now seeking to appoint an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Engineering team on the Air Warfare Destroyer Program.

Reporting to the Principal Electrical Systems Engineer this role will support the Electrical Engineering function and will be responsible for providing procurement and production support for the electrical systems of the Air Warfare Destroyers during the design and construction phase of the AWD Project. Aligned with this will also be the review and assessment of specifications and design documentation, participation in design reviews, establishment of business processes, and in support of change.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a degree in Electrical Engineering or Marine Engineering as well as significant experience in Electrical Engineering, preferably in a defence and/or marine environment. A demonstrated understanding of Electrical Engineering implications and requirements in ship design and construction, including electrical and electronic system design, installation, set-to-work and testing coupled with an ability to apply electrical and shipbuilding industry standards and requirements to support construction of AWD; including performing engineering analysis in support of manufacturing methods and tools for ship construction are also essential requirements of this role.
