Barrick Kanowna has a strong presence in the Eastern-Goldfields of Western Australia centred on the city of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. The Kanowna operation processes 2 million tonnes of refractory and free milling ore per annum from three underground mines in the region. It has significant exploration lease holdings and is one of the largest employers in the area.


The Position: We are currently seeking a Fixed Plant Fitter to maintain our processing plant equipment at Barrick's Kanowna Belle operations. Your day-to-day duties will include carrying out equipment repairs, fault diagnosis and performing routine preventative maintenance inspections. You will work as part of a team and will be expected to adhere to all maintenance planning procedures. The successful applicants will be offered extensive training programs to improve their trade skills base.


The Person: In addition to your trade qualification, you’ll have 2-3 years post-trade experience in Crushing, Milling and associated Fixed Plant equipment. A good understanding of Ore Treatment Plants would be advantageous, as would an understanding of CMMS.
