Barrick Kanowna has a strong presence in the Eastern-Goldfields of Western Australia centred around the city of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. The Kanowna operation processes 2 million tonnes of refractory and free milling ore per annum from three underground mines in the region. It has significant exploration lease holdings and is one of the largest employers in the area.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Electrical Team Leader, you will be responsible for maintenance and preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment on the processing plant at our Kanowna operations. You must be committed to maintaining high standards and show a demonstrated commitment to safety, continual improvement and team success.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Contribute to the continuous improvement of health and safety systems
*
Planned maintenance and services, including breakdown maintenance and inspections
*
Assist with training and knowledge transfer of Electrical apprentices
*
Recording of all electrical repairs, test results, incidents, maintenance, installations and inspections

This is a shift position working on a roster of 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 days off.
Requirements:
Ÿ Electrical Mechanic Trade Certificate & WA “A” Grade Electrical Workers Licence, or ability to obtain
Ÿ Instrumentation and PLC/DCS knowledge would be advantageous
Ÿ At least 2 years post trade experience in the mining/industrial processing control industry
Ÿ Ability to read plans and drawings
Ÿ Excellent written verbal and communication skills
Ÿ Knowledge of wiring rules and regulations
Ÿ Previous exposure to electronic maintenance management systems
This is a residential position based in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.
