Barrick Kanowna has a strong presence in the Eastern-Goldfields of Western Australia centred around the city of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. The Kanowna operation processes 2 million tonnes of refractory and free milling ore per annum from three underground mines in the region. It has significant exploration lease holdings and is one of the largest employers in the area.

Position Overview:

Based at the Kanowna Belle operations, this position is responsible for maintaining and preventing breakdown of the processing plant equipment and infrastructure while continuously improving work practices and working safely to achieve production targets.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Carry out day to day plant equipment repairs/faults diagnosis and to assist with root cause failure analysis

• Follow ongoing preventative maintenance plans and assist in improving the performance and maintenance

• Carry out routine preventative maintenance inspections

• Actively participate in training programs to improve skills and build personal attributes

Requirements:

• Boilermaker trade certificate and previous experience, preferably within a continuous mineral processing plant

• Excellent communication, verbal & written skills

• Senior first aid certificate or ability to obtain

• Understanding and experience with CMMS would be advantageous

This is a residential position based in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.
