Position Overview:
Drill and crusher supervisor will be in charge of all daily activities concerning maintenance of our Sandvik drill and crusher fleet. This person is to establish procedures for all maintenance activities to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner in order to maintain the highest availability possible. Also, the development of 24/7 maintenance crews and development of a world class training program for local labor.
Roster: Working 6 weeks on with one day of rest followed by 2 weeks off.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Daily safety meetings and communication.
Preventive maintenance.
Supervision and training of local workforce.
Emergency field repairs.
Planned component replacement scheduling.
Optimize scheduled down times.
Training and creation of dedicated PM crews.
Warranty communication with Sandvik.
Assure correct parts are in inventory.
Assist with min/max spares.
Development and execution of short period training classes (during lightening alerts).
Classroom training.
Hands on field training.
Assistance in budgeting.
CI initiative.

Qualifications:

Education
Master level hydraulics. Master level mechanical.
Experience
15 years of practical experience on PVDC related equipment (Sandvik). 10 years or more in expat positions. 10 years of experience in client/owner relationship type work. Fluent Spanish. Consulting experience. Warranty asset recovery. Classroom training on hydraulic systems. Field Training on electrical systems.

• Self motivation,
• Have good communication skills, spoken and written.
• Must have good coaching and mentoring capabilities
• Takes reasonable care to protect his/her own health and safety and that of other persons who may be affected by any act or omission thereof.
• Takes proper care of protective clothing and other health and safety facilities and equipment provided for the protection of his/her health and safety and that of other persons.
• Reports to his/her immediate supervisor any situation, which he/she believes, presents a risk to his/her health or safety or that of any other person.
• Co-operates with any person to permit compliance with the duties and responsibilities placed on that person in terms of PVDC’s Health and Safety Policies.
• Conducts inspections of health and safety conditions and risks in working area and reports and corrects sub-standard item/conditions/risks and unsafe acts to his supervisor.
• Ensures own and others compliance to relevant Policies, Procedures and Codes of Practices.
