Our client has a vision to be a highly respected coal mining company committed to delivering sustainable growth, premium products and high quality service in the long term whilst minimizing any environmental impact. They have over twenty years of coal mining experience in Indonesia. Through various companies they have exclusive rights to mine a total concession area of over 80,000 Ha. Our client produces coal ranging from semi-soft coking coal to environmentally friendly low sulphur, sub-bituminous coal.
The client has recently commissioned a US$30 million coal processing plant in Indonesia. The plant converts low grade coal into high grade coal. Our client requires a General Manager based in Jakarta to run this operation.

The successful applicant will,

* Speak Bahasa Indonesian.
* Have a minimum of 3 years experience of managing construction and production projects in Indonesia.
* Report to the board.
* Have full profit and loss responsibility.
* Travel to site as required.
* Manage the contract tender process.
* Manage contract process with EPC contractor.
* Manage the recruitment of new staff and the phased in hand over from the contractor.
* Prepare monthly board reports.
