Our client, an Australian based exploration and development company, seeks a motivated and results driven Mine Manager for their open pit operations. Reporting to the General Manager Operations, the Mining Manager will lead the mining team to safely achieving organisational targets whilst ensuring environmental excellence, quality and legislative compliance.

As the Manager Mining you will be responsible for establishing systems and contracts prior to recommencement of mine production. You will be required to recruit your departmental staff in line with your following areas of responsibility:

* Mine design and scheduling, including Drill and Blast,
* Contract mining,
* Grade Control and Mine Geology,
* Mine Surveying.

This is a key leadership position requiring excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engender a culture of safety, environmental excellence, team work, cost management and continuous improvement.

Applicants should hold an appropriate tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering with at least 10 years experience and a strong background in contractor mining. An excellent remuneration package will be negotiated commensurate with qualifications and experience.
