This is definitely a role that would interest a young Mining Engineer with around 3 - 5 years experience that is looking to be challenged on a daily basis both personally and professionally

We require a highly motivated team player to assume responsibility for the short term planning and scheduling. The major challenge of the position is in producing effective mine designs which optimise safety, production and return on investment and opportunities to be involved in business improvement and projects.

Reporting to the Senior Planning Engineer you will be part of a team responsible for producing all mine plans for development and production.

Your main responsibility will be to:

# Operate in a safe manner

# Produce stope designs records

# Carry out short term planning and scheduling

# Coordinate the production of all plans

# Assist with the drill and blast

# Provide input into all aspects of mine production.

# Opportunities for business improvement and projects will arise

You will need to be degree qualified in Mining Engineering, with substantial experience in underground metalliferous mining. Be a Competent MS Office Software user and experienced with mine design software, preferably Vulcan. Be a strong communicator in both written and oral, have excellent technical skills and be enthusiastic and willing to learn.
