Selinsing Gold Mine Manager Sdn. Bhd is a subsidiary of Polar Potential Sdn. Bhd., which is owned by Monument Mining Limited, a Vancouver-based, publicly listed mineral exploration and prospective gold mining company. Located in Kuala Lipis, we are currently carrying on construction activities, acting as an operator for the parent company, in operating a 400,000 tonnes per annum throughput mill for gold production. In line with the growth of the company, we have an opening for the following position:

ACCOUNTANT-Reporting
(Pahang - Kuala Lipis)

Responsibilities:
* In charge of the full cycle of accounting operations for the group of companies, including cash, banking, AP, payroll, periodical financial statements preparation and financial accounting related regulatory administrations such as payroll submissions, corporate tax, etc.
* Preparing periodical consolidated financial statements, notes; preparing related analysis reports, schedules and working papers related to the financial statements;
* Supervising and training accounting staff, ensure accounting operations are carried in a timely, accurate and complete manner;
* Assisting in preparation of project budgets, implementing cash management and cost control programs, submit daily cash report and weekly cost verse budget analysis report, making recommendations on improvement of cost control over construction, production and operations;
* Reviewing, creating and upgrading cost control templates and reporting mechanism from time to time to ensure strong internal control over plant construction costs and the budget can be met and maintained;
* Reviewing and upgrading computerised accounting systems for a group of Malaysian companies, ensure it is proper and adequate to record transactions related to plant construction, mine development and exploration, and generate adequate reports;
* Maintaining and updating the Company’s accounting systems, accounting records and account for the safeguard of the Company’s fixed assets, including updating the registry of capital assets, physical count of inventories, tracking mineral property fees and payments, etc.
* In liaising with auditors in conjunction with the year-end audit as well as the companies’ tax returns;
* Making recommendations on new accounting standards in Malaysia.
* Other duties as required

Requirements:
* Accounting designation with minimum five-years post designation experiencesý,
* Previous working experiences in mining or quarrying industry is well regarded.
* Proficient in Computerized accounting software, AccPac is a definite asset
* Strong English writing and advocacy communication skills
* Independent, hard working, responsible, able to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
* Self motivated, responsible, organized, a team playerý and be able to deliver
