Energy Resources of Australia is a publicly listed company that has mined and produced uranium oxide from its Ranger mine in the beautiful and rugged Alligator Rivers area of the Northern Territory since 1980.  The open cut Ranger mine is on Aboriginal land, and is surrounded by, but separate from, the spectacular Kakadu National Park. Reporting to the Superintendent Mining Maintenance, the HME Reliability Engineer will be accountable for the development and improvement of reliability processes and systems within the Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) division of the Mining Operations department. The successful candidate will possess experience in Reliability Centred Maintenance, Planned Maintenance Optimisation and statistical analysis. Solid knowledge of reliability concepts and processes (Defect Elimination, Failure Analysis, RCA, Downtime Analysis) will be highly regarded. The HME fleet at Ranger mine is maintained by a high performing team and consistently delivers some of the highest availability figures in the Rio Tinto business. • Driving the successful implementation of reliability improvement initiatives;
• Support the improvement of reliability processes within Ranger's Mining Operations division;
• Tracking progress, benefits, cost savings and production improvements from reliability engineering initiatives;
• Use of different Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies to identify root causes and develop solutions;
• Analysis of equipment downtime and maintenance cost information to prioritise improvements;
• Liaison with key stakeholders and customers on site to ensure their reliability needs are met;
• Working closely with OEM's to manage issues across HME fleets;
• Management of multiple projects concurrently, whilst delivering results in a timely manner;

Trade or degree qualified, you will have demonstrated experience in an Engineering role in mining or heavy industry.
