A highly respected construction and engineering contractor are known for delivering a wide range of diverse and complex projects in the building, engineering, water and mining sectors.

With multiple major projects throughout Queensland, they are currently seeking a Safety Manager with large infrastructure project experience to join their Brisbane leadership team.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety management systems policies and procedures are effectively implemented and maintained at project level through planned audits, inspections and training. You will manage all safety related issues for auditing, reporting, site safety inspections and managing the site Project Safety Plan.

To be successful in this role you will hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, along with extensive relevant project experience on large civil projects and a proven track record in implementing and managing effective safety systems. You will need to display demonstrated management of safety teams, lead auditor qualifications will be held in very high regard, as will exposure to major road works projects.
