JOB DESCRIPTION

The Raise Bore Site Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of raise drill, crew, equipment and projects.

The Raise Bore Site Supervisor will demonstrate core values of: Zero Harm, Respect and Integrity, Entrepreneurial Spirit, and Operational Excellence.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Organizes and implements, mobilization, setup, work performed, tear down and demobilization of raise drill, crew and equipment, both on and off site.
2. Works within the contract presented to the client.
3. Supervises crews and coordinates the activities of the workers in surface and underground mining projects.
4. Conducts weekly safety meetings and provides a safe work environment
5. Provides training to raise bore crews.
6. Daily documentation and correspondence between client and company on performance of raise drill, crew and equipment.
7. Takes responsibility for aspects of occupational health and safety, and environmental matters, over which the individual has control, including adherence to all requirements applicable to DMC.
8. Ensure that all direct reports in the workplace take responsibility for aspects of Safety and Environment over which they have control including adherence to all MSHA requirements applicable to DMC Mining Services.
9. Such other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

A minimum of 5 years of previous experience in a similar role
Good oral and written communication skills, including knowledge of Office Suite
Completion of associated industry specific MSHA
