The Group Functions Human Resources team is dedicated to supporting our customers across all of Group Functions in the attainment of their respective business objectives though the adoption of sustainable people and organisation strategies, tactics and practices. We proactively provide advice and consulting services to Group functions on the planning, application and management of human capital required to deliver the business strategy and operational performance. The HR Business partner for Corporate functions will work in partnership with the leadership team to provide commercially focused HR solutions that support the business objectives and are aligned with the best practices. Key activities include:
- Translating the business agenda into an HR agenda
- Performing activities that drive medium to long-term outcomes, whilst ensuring short-term needs are met
- Enabling the effective operation of the HR operating model within the business (and ensuring the business understands how to navigate the model)
- Maintaining strong relationships with general managers and managing directors, and assisting them achieve their business objectives.
- Contributing to business strategy
- Identifying and mitigating critical organisational risks
To be considered for this role you will have a degree in Human Resources or the Behavioural Sciences or other suitable business related qualification. Post graduate qualifications in HR or business, a Project Management qualification and affiliation to a Professional HR body are desirable. You will bring significant generalist HR experience, including business partnering or consulting experience and have a track record of:
- Leading change and innovation
- Consulting on complex business challenges using business acumen coupled with HR expertise
- Using metrics to drive business decisions and performance
- Managing employee remuneration and benefits to attract and retain talent
- Employee relations in complex environments
Experience working in a global environment, working in a mining, resources or manufacturing environment, working in a multi-lingual or multi-cultural environment, virtual teams, project management experience, IR experience and managing international mobility would be highly regarded.
