• Facilities Shift Manager - Data Centre

A leader in their field, this global provider of outsourced data centre solutions to businesses are now seeking an experienced Facilities Shift Manager to oversee all critical environments of a large data centre based in Sydney.
 
You’ll have a proven track record in overseeing 24/7 mission-critical data centres and have demonstrable customer facing experience which combines both commercial and engineering aspects. As Shift Manager you are responsible for all critical environments (BMS, HVAC, PDU’s, PMM’s, fire suppression/alarm systems, refrigeration, diesel generators, UPS systems, dehumidifiers, cooling towers, etc) within the data centre during your shift and oversee the outsourced teams and specialists carrying out works throughout the data centre. Furthermore, you’ll assume position of Change Manager ensuring maintenance is scheduled, co-ordinated, performed, checked for quality, document and escalated as needed.
 
You’ll also be responsible for all vendor management, uptime, incident management, maintenance, OH&S, SLA’s, reporting, documentation, budget management, quality assurance and customer communication.
 
In return for a competitive package you will possess a tertiary electrical/mechanical qualification/similar trade qualification and in addition an OH&S qualification would be highly desired. You’ll also have strong experience at managing a mechanical/engineering team and have experience in the selection, appointment, coordination and relationship management of external contractors. The role will require excellent oral and written communication skills as consistent reporting and provision of a high quality of information externally and internally.
 
This role is on a 12 hour rotating shift roster (2 day shifts, 2 night shifts then 4 days off). Also, additional coverage will be required to accommodate periods of annual leave.
