GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Duties:  Assist exploration team with daily execution of the projects. Specific duties include but are not limited to, daily collection of samples (core and RC chips) from drill rigs, prepare & organize core chips for logging; geotechnical logging of core; splitting/sawing & photographing core; organizing & documenting samples; organizing & storage of core & RC chip trays; assist with record keeping & drill site layouts. Safe operation of 4x4 pickups, forklift.  Other duties as assigned.

SELECTION CRITERIA

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:  To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:

1.                  Excellent safety attitude & record required

2.                  Valid driver’s license required.

3.                  Excellent communication skills.

4.                  Ability to safety lift up to 50 lbs required.

5.                  Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize a heavy workload required.

6.                  Ability to work in adverse weather conditions & walk on uneven ground  required.

7.                  Experience with drill rigs & sample dispatch preferred.

8.                  Experience operating a forklift preferred.

9.                  Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word & Excel) preferred.
