Singapore Petroleum (SPC), a public listed company in the Stock Exchange of Singapore, has the following opportunity for a self-driven, adaptable and enthusiastic individual to be part of its Finance and Investor Relations (FAIR) Group.

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT - EXPLORATION & PRODUCTION

Your responsibilities involve:

• Managing the accounting and financial reporting requirements associated with SPC Groups Exploration & Production (E&P) assets, as well as the setting up of E&P accounting policies and procedures, including internal control practices
• Overseeing accountants in the transactional accounting process and providing advice in E&P accounting treatment and compliance issues
• Liaising with the Group’s E&P partners, statutory auditors, tax agents and consultants
• Researching and providing advice to E&P New Ventures and Assets team on E&P accounting and financial implications
• Participating in due-diligence projects with E&P to identify and address potential accounting implications and issues associated with acquisitions or investments
• Participating in ad-hoc projects as assigned

The successful candidate is expected to:

• Have a bachelor degree in Accounting or equivalent professional qualifications
• Have 8 to 10 years of relevant accounting experience in oil and gas exploration and production sector, preferably with PSC operators
• Have working knowledge of accounting issues and transactions associated with production sharing contracts and joint venture accounting
• Have supervisory experience
• Be a team player with strong communication and analytical skills
• Be able to multi-task and to co-ordinate several activities/projects simultaneously

This position is based in Singapore. The incumbent will be remunerated on local package basis. Some traveling may be required.
