Organization/DepartmentAs a world leading engineering, construction, and design company our client has won a project management contract with a national oil company and is providing consultancy services across a series of projects, from concept phase through to construction management and execution. With the end result being a 100% increase in oil production by 2020 the main focus will be on increasing efficiency of existing oil production and brining new fields on-line.
Our client is now actively recruiting key personnel to lead their team on the ground in Kuwait and invites applicants for the following position.
Job descriptionPurpose / Role
To prepare and pursue/issue for approval all types and classes of Contracts.
Key aims and objectives
• Assigned activities and scope of work is carried out in line with our Client's policies & procedures.
• Our Client's reputation is enhanced by demonstrating commitment to raising HSE standards and proposing new initiatives or improvements to enhance HSE performance throughout our Client.
Prime responsibilities and duties
• Responsible for pre-award activities including bids preparation.
• Processing queries from bidders.
• Preparation of bid evaluation programmers, evaluation of bids, negotiation and award of contract preparation.
• Responsible for post-award activities including conducting kick-off meetings, coordinate all contract submittals and correspondence, preparation and process of adjustment orders, clams and close out. Experienced in enhancement procedures.
Allied occasional duties
• Review project studies & proposals
• Provide HSE input on tender evaluations
• Other duties as assigned.
Key internal interfaces
• Other disciplines or project construction team members.
• Engineering & Project Control Personnel
• HSEQ Team & HSE & Operations.
Key external interfaces
• Our Client's Personnel.
• Contractor Personnel
RequirementsCore competencies
• Appropriate qualifications & experience as specified by the Client. ie., BSc Degree with 12 years total experience, 5 years O&G, 5 years related designation.
• Commercial qualification (BSc Quantity Surveying, MSc Commercial Management).
• Membership of reputable professional Organization [MRICS or similar]
• Self motivated and able to clearly communicate with KOC and contractors at all levels.
• Excellent presentation skills and ability to provide training.
• Excellent written communication skills.
Other remarksSalary package will be between £60 and 80k.
Office Hours of Work: 48 hours/5 days per week
Site Hours of Work: N/A
Accommodation: Find own and fund from Living Allowance
Tax Basis: No host country tax.
Employee responsible for Home Country tax
Leave Accrual: 42 days
Public Holidays: Local - 8 days
Excess Baggage: 50 Kilos per person 25 kilos per child
