Prime Operating Company is seeking a Petroleum Landman to work primarily with its Midland Texas District Office. The candidate will report directly to the Area Land Manager.
Candidates for this position should have a degree in Petroleum Land Management or Law with two (2) to five (5) two years combined work experience in field and in-house land operations.
Must be self-motivated and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a team environment. Strong attention to detail in a fast paced environment and the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written are a must. Excellent computer, organizational, communication and problem solving skills are imperative. The job will require travel
Below is a brief description of the job functions.
A. Negotiation of Oil and Gas Leases, Surface Agreements;
B. Landowner relations;
C. Negotiation and Drafting of Assignments, Operating Agreements, Farm-out Agreements and other documents relative to Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Activities;
D. Interfacing with Industry Partners and potential Industry Partners;
E. Interfacing with Administrative, Geo-Sciences, Marketing and Engineering Staff; and
F. Supervision and coordination of Land and Lease Acquisition Activities as directed by the District Land Supervisor or the Land Manager.
